Herring gulls are perhaps one of our most common gulls and sadly all around our towns and cities.

Herring gulls are quite a bit bigger than Black-headed gulls and can be scary up close. They have a really bad name but they are scavengers and we are the ones leaving waste everywhere or even worse, feeding them but, they are always beautifully clean and groomed when you look closely.
